82-0: How Good Is Your Hoop IQ?

If you love NBA basketball, all-time player debates and building impossible dream teams, 82-0 takes that basketball conversation and turns it into an addictive knowledge game.

Build the Greatest Team You Can

If you are into NBA basketball, especially if you are the type of fan who can argue Jordan vs. LeBron, Kobe vs. Wade, Shaq vs. Kareem, or Steph vs. Magic for hours, 82-0 is a game you are going to love.

The concept is simple: put together a team of all-time players. The dial spins, you pick one player at a time, and every selection changes what your final team can become.

“82-0 takes one of basketball fans' favorite arguments — who would you put on your all-time team? — and makes an entire game out of it.”

The Classic 100

One of the best modes is The Classic 100. You are asked to build the strongest team possible and chase the best score. The game shows you the players you can choose from and helps you by displaying player statistics from each decade.

That makes each decision more interesting. You are not just picking a famous name. You are comparing what players actually produced in different eras and deciding who fits your roster best.

Hoop IQ: Take Away the Stats

Hoop IQ is where basketball knowledge really gets tested. This mode asks you to build your team without the stat assistance.

No safety net. No numbers telling you who to take. You have to know the players, understand their careers and decide who belongs on the floor together.

Everybody thinks they know hoops until the numbers disappear.

“Hoop IQ looks at you and says: Okay, basketball genius. Prove it.”

1V1: Your Basketball Brain vs. Mine

Then there is 1V1, which might have the most competitive potential of all.

Instead of only chasing your own score, you compete against another player. Your basketball knowledge versus theirs. You make your selections. They make theirs. Then the game settles the argument.

That is exactly what basketball fans love. It is one thing to say, “I know more basketball than you.” It is another thing when the game gives you a way to prove it.

What We Love

  • The Concept: Easy to understand and perfect for NBA fans.
  • Random Player Selection: Every attempt produces a different roster-building problem.
  • Classic 100: Statistics and decade context add strategy.
  • Hoop IQ: Removing the stats turns basketball knowledge into the real game mechanic.
  • 1V1: Basketball arguments become head-to-head competition.
  • Replay Value: Every spin gives you another reason to try again.

What Would Make 82-0 Even Better?

The biggest feature I would like to see expanded is competitive tracking inside 1V1.

Give every player a permanent win/loss record and a win percentage. If I have played 100 matches and I am 78-22, I want that record to matter.

RECORD: 78-22
WIN RATE: 78%

That could eventually grow into winning streaks, rankings, leaderboards, opponent history, seasonal records and other competitive statistics. Suddenly you are not just playing another 1V1 match — you are protecting your record.

The Verdict: Basketball Fans Need to Try This

82-0 takes a conversation basketball fans have been having forever and turns it into a simple, smart and highly replayable game.

Classic 100 gives you information. Hoop IQ takes that information away. 1V1 lets you put your basketball knowledge against somebody else's.

The competitive side still has room to grow, especially with permanent records and win percentages, but the foundation is excellent.

“SPIN THE WHEEL. BUILD YOUR FIVE. PUT YOUR HOOP IQ ON THE LINE. CAN YOUR TEAM GO 82-0?”
