An Early Snapshot into Split 2

We are now entering the second split of the League of Legends professional scene, a crucial period leading up to MSI (Mid-Season Invitational) and the seed rankings for teams. Let’s take a brief look at the various pro regions and the progress made by teams so far.

LCK (League of Legends Champions Korea)

In the LCK, Gen.G Esports, Dplus Kia, and Nongshim Red Force currently sit atop the standings with undefeated 2-0 records. While it's early in the split, teams like T1, the former world champions, are still very much in contention and could easily rise to challenge for the top spots.

LEC (League of Legends EMEA Champions)

Over in the LEC, Karmine Corp and G2 Esports lead the pack with 2-0 records. Fan favorites like Fnatic, who have started 1-1, are far from out of the race, thanks to their storied history as one of Europe’s top teams

LTA (League of Legends Championship of The Americas)

The LTA has been split into two divisions: North and South. In the North, FlyQuest holds the early lead, though Lyon is still in the running, with their second series potentially shaking up the standings. In the South, a three-way tie between Leviatan, Pain Gaming, and Vivo Keyd Stars dominates the top spot. With many newer teams in this region, there’s a lot of untapped potential for emerging contenders to make their mark.

LPL (League of Legends Pro League)

The LPL, China’s top league, is divided into two groups: Ascend and Nirvana. In Ascend, Invictus Gaming, Beijing JDG Intel Esports, Bilibili Gaming Dreamsmart, and Top Esports are all tied at 1-0, making the standings highly fluid as the split progresses. Group Nirvana, which has yet to begin its series, holds promising potential, especially with Royal Never Give Up in the mix—historically, they are always a team to watch for a top seed.

LCP (League of Legends Championship Pacific)

The LCP represents the Pacific region, where many of the teams may be lesser-known but have proven themselves by reaching the professional scene. These teams have the potential to compete against the biggest names in the game, including icons like Faker.

With so many series left to play, we have such an exciting time in the League scene where we potentially have new players to dethrone the known titans. This could open up plenty of possibilities for up and coming players to enter the scene and pave the way for the next generation of talent. Look forward to periodic updates for each group and seeing where your favorite team might end up in the brackets when it comes to MSI!
