The Fusion Team are one of 2 teams that made it to October 2020’s grand finals in South Korea.
Grand Finals pitted Asia’s 2nd seed Seoul Dynasty vs NA’s 1st seed Shock. Shock went on to run through the winners bracket, past the Shanghai Dragons (Asia’s 1st) into the finals, overcoming the loser’s bracket’s Seoul Dynasty 4-2. Dragons beat Philly Fusion 3-0 in a 3 map set, eventually losing to Shock and placing Fusion in a Loser’s matchup with Seoul which they would lose 3 maps to 0. Seoul climbed out of the loser’s bracket defeating the dragons 3 maps to 2 to eventually face the Shock in the grand finals. Shock finished 31-4 on the season. San Francisco Shock are owned by Andy Miller, co-owner of NRG Esports and the Sacramento Kings.
